Quality Control
“Quality” the root of success of Khmer Food Co., Ltd. is maintained through the hard work of the entire team. Every single shipment gets approval only after several stages of inspection.
Procurement Stage
The final product will always be carefully handled and processed at each stage. While Khmer Food
only procures rice from rice millers, we leave it to our trusted and skilled
fellow rice millers to handpick their own paddies and mill it. We select the best-milled rice to reprocess at our rice re-processing unit in Phnom Penh.
Sampling
The moment the milled rice arrives at our factory, our quality analysts immediately sample the rice and test its moisture content, purity, color, and odor. Any rejected delivery will be returned. Our quality analyst follows Gafta Rules 124 to draw samples at any places and circumstances for any quantities making sure quality uniformity.
Rice Processing Stage
Milled rice procured from rice millers may not be suitable to export. Thus, we need to re-process it to attain our customer’s desired quality and specification. Our processing team actively takes samples and analyze the rice being-processed to ensure quality consistency. The re-processing unit consists of modern rice graders, polishers, and color sorters to convert locally milled rice to an excellent quality and shiny rice suitable for export.
Post-Processing Stage

After processed, the rice will be sent to an international surveyor for laboratory test for official certification and assertion of the quality for our customer’s approval before shipment.
In addition, our quality analysts also examine the taste of the final rice assuring that it commits to its standard export quality.
Packaging and Storing Stage
Since we do not involve in paddy processing, our products are safely free from any infestations that may be infected in the paddy. With our modern Mist Polishing machine and CCD Color Sorter, our products have longer shelf life and are minimal in Aflatoxin and Ocratoxin.
Equipped with semi-auto weighing and packing machines, we ensure precise scaling and export-standard double-threading bag closing. Asides, we adhere to GAFTA 123 Weighing Rules for our everyday operation.
Loading Stage

The stuffing into container is done at one of our warehouses and then delivered to the port of loading. Our quality analysts are always on watch when stuffing the rice into containers to take samples; assuring that we are loading only the best quality rice to our esteemed buyers.
